Simply Earth: August Subscription box review

Everywhere you turn people are talking about essential oils and how they are so beneficial. I have heard from several people about using essential oils for health, wellness, stress, and even help with digestive issues. If people are talking about how wonderful essential oils are, then where do I sign up? I didn't have to look far. A fellow blogger helped me out by guiding me to Simply Earth. I was able to converse with their Manager of Ambassadors and it took off from there. I was sent Simply Earth's August Back to school Subscription box. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

I was actually very surprised when I opened my box to see all the cool stuff in there. I was in love. The products were full size and not trials as I assumed they would be. They also sent some recipes so you make your blends right away. How neat is that???

So what is in the box you ask? I'm glad you asked that!

Contents of Box:

Grapefruit Essential Oil 15 ml
Coffee Essential Oil 15 ml

I currently have the Rise and Shine blend going in my diffuser. I love this recipe because it simply reminds me of early mornings smelling breakfast cooking. You can smell the mix of grapefruit and coffee.

Rise and Shine Diffuser Blend

6 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
3 drops of Coffee Essential Oil
Drop essential oils into the diffuser and diffuse to start the day off right!

Now that back to school season has begun, you also know that flu and cold season is right around the corner. They have a blend for the inhaler called Immune Boosting.

Immune Boosting Inhaler

7 drops of Copaiba Essential Oil
5 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
3 drops of Coffee Essential Oil

  1. In a small bowl, drop all essential oils.
  2. Using tweezers, drop cotton insert of inhaler into the bowl and allow it to absorb all of the oils.
  3. Place cotton back into the inhaler insert, preferably with tweezers, snap base on the bottom and twist cap on top.
  4. To use, open the inhaler and insert into a nostril while covering the other nostril, inhale deeply. Repeat on the other side.

As everyone knows, I'm not just a mom and wife but a college student as well. School here starts Sept 5th and guess what? I'm not the only college student this time around. I now have 2 college students and I am also going to home school the other kiddos, 2 high schoolers and a middle schooler. Plus I added in a part time job of care taking for a 4 year old. I have to make out schedules and chore charts that I am sure there is bound to be some added stress in there. That's why I'm so glad that In the August Back to School Box there was a recipe for a stress relieving dough ball.

Stress Relieving Dough Ball

10 drops Grapefruit Essential oil
5 drops Focus Essential oil blend
1 cup of flour
1 cup of water
2 teaspoons of Cream of Tartar
1 tablespoon of Almond Oil

  1. In a large bowl, stir play dough mix, 1 teaspoon of almond oil and water until the dough is no longer sticky.
  2. ( Optional) add in food coloring and roll into the dough.
  3. Drop in essential oils, and "roll" into dough.
  4. Store in fridge for lasting freshness, and squeeze and play when you're feeling stressed or tired.
